update 29/10/2009:

apparantly very legal..if you read faq like we did lol yes you need a tv license still -here in uk, to watch these free-to-air channels. And the bitrate for you techys is at around 768 Kb total per stream..(why-o-why then slingbox do you not work well on the iphone even with a large bitrate and lots of money for your apps&hardware

..also are you wondering why they are called tvcatchup?even though its live streaming tv? Well due to legal rangling they removed the pioneering network pvr setup they had been known for(for now ) but it is being looked into for the future..

wow watching bbc1 at proper frame rate( and amazing resolution quality (unlike the hindered slingbox app GRRrr !!) smooth through the safari browser

how long will this last then.. make your bets please.

ps (slingmedia you suck balls this is how it should run and i might add this is running this great at 3g speeds not stuck on wifi like you/o2/at&t force us too)rant over

o2 charge £15 a month for a txt file..tethering fail

you can setup tethering without the cost by installing a mere tiny mobile config file which o2 would normally charge you for if you didnt perhaps pass by here or the site in question which lets you install this : here

pick country
choose your provider ( contract or payg)
choose to install(it will warn you just go ahead)
plug it in after installation to your laptop and it sohuld pop up a network config window and or just pair it to your laptop and then your phone sohuld go a nice glowing blue !

just visit this link via your iphone choose your country and type of account (contract or payasyougo) and thats it connecto pc via usb or pair it via bluetooth and you should have laptop viewing the web via your phones 3g service! sweet!!!!up yours o2 !

also MMS settings also at this site so check them both out and setup your iphone correctly

bbc radio streaming on your iphone how-to! free!

Until now finding a way to listen to bbc radio 1 (1,2etC) live was a no no..but not to worry..

At last an app that allows you to listen to asx/mp3 streams from bbc radio(or others like somafm difm shoutcast streams etcetc)
