smith snowboard helmet mod -the sequel
Decided it was time to spruce up (and also test the plasti dip “camo” paint i had lying about the place) my helmet with a khaki green matte finish.
Time for mod :
About 30mins to hour to paint a few coats and dry + overnight drying for curing to full strength
click the pics to read the comments fully..(it cant quite fit inside the grid )
few coats over my last vinyl wrap design..
and a bit more…
before it got to solidified.istarted to peel back the vinyl ..to leave a smoother finish when it does eventually set/dry(doesnt take that long around half hour to and hour if its just in the cold outside )
now to clean the overspray bits
and its quiye decenty finish with just a few coats+4 mins dry time between coats
also bought some anon addon earphones..which should fit inside(even though the earpads have no opening for them, the item is the same as the ones that do..
so i cut some of the seam and its now big enough of a hole to allow me to rip a bit of the foam to make way for the headphone drivers
dont forget to pull out gently-ish the tabs this will allow easier removal of the head restraint /ear pads
